 Debt Management

The Asset and Liability Management Division is a unit within the National Treasury responsible for managing government’s annual funding programme in a manner that ensures prudent cash management and an optimal portfolio of debt and other fiscal obligations. It also promotes and enforces prudent financial management of state-owned entities through financial analysis and oversight.

We are committed to providing quality information to the general public and financial markets on government borrowing and debt. The Investor Relations website is intended to provide the investor with a single entry point to a wide range of information disseminated mainly by the National Treasury, South African Reserve Bank and Statistics South Africa. Through this website we intend to establish closer ties with our investors.
